Remembrance, dressing up and the usual antics

Hello everybody
Another week has flown by (helped by the fact it was only 4 days for most of us.. Sorry teachers)
As always it has been a super busy week filled with the usual classroom antics of building, painting, creating, role playing, phonics, number work, reading and a whole lot more too, no wonder we are all tired by home time on a Friday!
Once we had discussed our holiday with all the firework parties, events and activities everybody had been doing the focus moved onto Remembrance Day. We were invited to watch a class assembly in the hall about the war and have painted poppies in the classroom. Today everyone looked fantastic in their outfits (thank you for all the effort that went into that!) and we had a busy day learning about what happened. You may hear stories of sirens going off and hiding under tables. They are all true, the children did hide under tables, make gas masks and paint poppies although I don't think we'll encourage them to hide under there again, my knees aren't as good as they used to be!hope you enjoy the pictures, as always please feel free to make comments.

Until next week, stay calm and carry on.

Miss Latham and Mrs Lewis
